1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Print Prep (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of service

Print Prep is a free, browser-based toolkit that helps users check image resolution (DPI), simulate CMYK colour output, detect stray pixels, and overlay safe-zone guides for print-on-demand products. All processing occurs entirely within your browser using client-side technologies (JavaScript, Canvas API, Web Workers). No files are uploaded to any server.

3. Your content

You retain full ownership of all images and files you process through Print Prep. Since all processing happens locally in your browser, we never access, store, or transmit your content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and process the images you open in the tool.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process content that violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its associated website.
• Misrepresent Print Prep's output as a guarantee of professional print quality.

5. Intellectual property

The Print Prep name, logo, user interface, and all original code are the intellectual property of Print Prep and its contributors. The Service's source code may be available under a separate open-source licence — refer to the project's GitHub repository for specifics. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use Print Prep's branding or trademarks outside of normal use of the Service.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Print Prep does not warrant that the results produced by the tool will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific printing requirements.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Print Prep and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Since Print Prep processes all data locally on your device, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss caused by your browser or operating system.

8. Third-party links & resources

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources (e.g. Google Fonts, GitHub). These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. Print Prep is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party sites.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify the Service at any time without notice. Since Print Prep runs entirely in your browser and collects no account information, there are no accounts to terminate. You may simply stop using the Service at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any formal legal action.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
