Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

We collect no personal data. Print Prep does not ask for your name, email address, or any account information. The images and files you open are loaded directly into your browser's memory and are never transmitted to any external server.

2. How your images are processed

All image analysis — DPI resolution checking, CMYK colour-shift simulation, stray-pixel detection, and safe-zone overlay — is performed entirely within your browser using:

• FileReader API — Reads your file from disk into memory, locally.
• HTML Canvas API — Draws and analyses pixel data on-screen, in-browser.
• Web Workers — Runs heavy pixel calculations off the main thread for speed.

When you close the tab, all image data is discarded automatically by the browser. Nothing persists beyond the session.

3. Cookies & local storage

Print Prep may use your browser's localStorage to remember your tool preferences (e.g. last-used DPI target or safe-zone preset). This data lives only on your own device and is never sent anywhere. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party cookies of any kind.

4. Analytics & third-party services

If we use any privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics in the future (e.g. Plausible or Fathom), we will update this page to say so clearly. As of the date above, no analytics scripts or third-party SDKs are loaded by Print Prep. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN to serve typefaces; this is standard browser behaviour and does not identify you personally.

5. Children's privacy

Print Prep does not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, this is straightforward: no data means no risk.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Print Prep handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We recommend bookmarking this page if you would like to stay informed.
